This is my birthday month, and I knew I wanted to create a fun treat to celebrate with you guys here on Jar Of Lemons! These Birthday Cake Protein Bites are SO yummy!

They’re easy to make (5 minutes!), taste like an indulgent treat, are nutritious, and are perfect for an easy, healthy snack. Make a big batch of these bites and keep them on hand for weeks for easy, grab-and-go protein snacks!

7 Simple Ingredients

This healthy snack can easily be made vegan with just a few simple swaps. Here’s what you’ll need to make these easy Cake Protein Bites!

Energy Bites

Vanilla Protein Powder – This Vanilla Protein Powder (opens in a new tab) is one of my current faves for energy bites!

Oat Flour – The oat flour (opens in a new tab) in this recipe helps to add texture and nutrition. Don’t have oat flour on hand? Simply blend rolled oats into a flour-like texture and you’re good to go!

Cashew ButterCashew butter, (opens in a new tab) almond butter, or any type of mixed nut butter works great in this recipe! The only one I probably wouldn’t recommend is peanut butter, due to its strong flavor.

Honey – A little bit of honey (or agave syrup) sweetens these bites and helps to hold them together.

Maple Syrup – The maple syrup also helps to sweeten this recipe. Want something a little less sweet? You can cut the maple syrup down (up to 2 Tablespoons)!

Topping

White Chocolate Chips – The white chocolate chips (opens in a new tab) are melted and drizzled over the bites for a next-level treat!

Sprinkles – They aren’t birthday cake protein bites without sprinkles! These dye-free sprinkles (opens in a new tab) are the best for a better-for-you option.

Tips

How to Store

Personally, I like to keep these in the fridge. I think they hold up better and honestly taste amazing this way! However, you can keep them at room temperature once they are set.

To store, keep these cake energy balls in an airtight container at room temp for 3-5 days or in the refrigerator (recommended) for up to 2 weeks!
