November Bucket List

1. Host friendsgiving

Create a fall tablescape (or keep it simple), invite friends over and host a fun friendsgiving! Not up for cooking a turkey? Here are a few other recipe ideas:

2. Write a thank you letter

Let those closest to you know how grateful you are for them by writing them a thank you letter!

3. Give an unexpected gift

Share your gratitude with friends, family, teachers, and coworkers by surprising them with a small, unexpected gift. A few ideas are:

4. Create a gratitude jar

Keep a mason jar on a table or desk that the entire family can get to. Set small pieces of paper and a pen next to it. Throughout the month, make it a daily practice to write down something or someone you and your family are grateful for and fill the jar. On Thanksgiving, read the notes aloud as a fun and inspiring tradition!

5. Bake a pie

Nothing screams fall and November like baking a homemade pie! Bake a traditional apple or pumpkin pie, or make individual sized pies or bars. These Apple Pie Minis and Pecan Pie Bars are some of our favorites!

6. Decorate for fall

If you haven’t already, then it’s time to decorate for fall! Add fall foliage (opens in a new tab) to your table, mums to your front porch, and fall decor around your fireplace to give your home a November feel.

7. Start a gratitude journal

Writing down what your grateful is a great way to start and end your day. Start a gratitude journal (opens in a new tab) to shift your mindset and focus on what matters!

8. Make homemade chili

With the cold weather setting in, there’s nothing cozier than a bowl of delicious homemade chili for dinner! Make a big batch of chili on Sunday and have it ready to go throughout the week. Here are a few of our favorite recipes:

9. Drink apple cider

Tis’ the season for apple cider! Make a big batch of it for your next gathering or have a cup in the evening as you settle in for the night. Apple cider is a great way to celebrate the month of November!

10. Donate to a food bank

With Thanksgiving around the corner, this is a great time to donate non-perishable food or money to your local food bank!

11. Send out gratitude notes

Who are you grateful for? Send out gratitude notes to your kid’s teachers, friends, coworkers, the postman, your doctor, hairstylist, etc. While the gesture may feel small, having a written note and feeling appreciated will speak volumes!

12. Stay in and watch a fall-themed movie

Plan a night (or two, or three) where you stay home, get in your cozy pajamas, and watch a fall-themed movie. Don’t forget the yummy fall snacks!
